2008-2009 SENIOR PICTURE REQUIREMENTS: All Seniors must take photos on photo day.
Beginning 2008-2009 school year the ALL senior photographs will be taken at Helias High School by Life Touch on picture day. You may have the option to have your photo taken by a photographer of your choice (see below), however you MUST take a photo on Picture Day by Life Touch.
If you are not in compliance with the requirements your parents will be called and you will have to go to the make up picture day.
Here is why:
- The photos are free. Your photos will be sent directly to Jostens and immediately put on the website for our yearbook staff to place in the yearbook. You will NOT have to turn in 2 copies like last year.
- You do not have to wear your dressy clothes all day, you may change back to your school uniform after you take your photo.
- When we know the date of "picture day" we will have that online.
- The "photo day" has nothing to do with your other senior photos that you have taken by a photographer of your choice. You are free to have fun with your photographer!
- If you decide to have your Yr. Bk. photo taken with your photographer you will have to have it sumbitted via email to bbalk@heliashs.com by, November 30, 2008, and meet all restrictions or your "picture day" photo will be used. You have to take a photo with Life Touch.
- Parents can be assured that all students have their photo in the yearbook. . Everyone who took a photo with Lifetouch, we have you. If you are submitting a photo from your photographer your name will appear below - Please check that on the day before our Thanksgiving break November 24th. If you name is not on the list below we do NOT have it. You will need to email by December 12th otherwise we will use the photo taken by Lilfetouch.
PHOTOGRAPHERS, PLEASE KNOW THE REQUIREMENTS OR THE PHOTO WILL BE REJECTED WITHOUT NOTICE AND THE "PHOTO DAY" PHOTO WILL BE USED.
- We will not except CD's or print outs of photos, ONLY emailed photos for wallet sized prints.
- Head shots have to be proportionate to portraits, not close ups
- Can't be shot from above eye level (with the subject looking up at the camera)
- No hands
- No outdoors
- No vignetting - spotlighting - darkened edges
- No patterned backgrounds
- Must have a dark background (blue, brown, gray, black; mixed )
GUYS
The boys will wear a tie and sport/suit coat. Tie must be cinched up and collar buttoned up all the way. You have to wear a jacket -- that's a new requirement.

Girls are to wear dressy clothes. No spaghetti straps, drapes, or sleeveless tops. Necklines must be of modest cut (that means if you are wondering if it will pass, it wont).
